32 weeks

Hello, here we are @ 32 weeks & don't even know where the time has gone. 
June was a great month, weather hadn't turned gross in NC yet & we got to make a trip home to Boston.  We went for my cousin's wedding in Maine, I was only disappointed we couldn't stay longer there.  We were able to see some family for a few days in Boston too which made it nice.  Got to eat Lobster, didn't make it to Eli's favorite, Kellys, perhaps next time.  But did get plenty of walking in, around town & along the Charles River, our favorite.
July brought the HEAT & Lil's 3rd birthday. How sweet it was, we had friends in from Holland & Boston.  We had a mini-kiddy pool party in the front yard with lots of little ones running around.  It was warm, but I think it turned out well.  
July into August continued with heat and finally here we are September 11th & the weather seems to be breaking.  Had an amazing weather day yesterday, minus the south humidity. 

We are park bound just about everyday again, either in the am or after dinner.  Lil loves running & playing and oh ya, the Olympics.  It was fun watching that with her this summer.  She still thinks all the jumps, twists & turns are Olympic quality & will shout out, "Americans" after doing them. 
We haven't made it to the coast yet, hate that its soooo far away. 
Lil also started soccer through the YMCA this past saturday so that should be a few hours of entertainment the next 8 saturday mornings.  :)
Otherwise we got BABY on our mind.  The boy is due in 8 weeks, craziness. This pregnancy has flown by.  Everything happened earlier: expanding body, heartburn, sciatic issues....but now with the help of the chiropractor its been much better at this point.  

I wonder in my mind what he will be like; often feel like Lil has such a jovial personality I can't imagine how his will be, I know he will be loved & cared for by so many....8 short weeks, can't wait to meet you.

What 2 Hours Can Mean

This afternoon we have an appointment that will change our our lives forever. It can either bring really good news. Something beautiful & lovely and joyful. We've been waiting a week for this appointment & years ago & sometimes even now if you were to ask me if I'm a patient person I would say, NO. But today after waiting 7 long days, I think I may say YES. You see on the other side I know too well the pain, the breath stopping news we could also recieve.
So I will be patient in the unknown & just pray God has a strong grip on me today.

30 month growth spurt

I don't even know if there is such a thing, but here we are 2 1/2 yrs. & she's eating like we're race training, squeezing into 3t clothes . And new sleep patterns, long afternoon naps accompanied by LATE to bed times. Girlfriend is still awake as I blog, it's 10:15pm!!!!
We still do our same night time routine, but then multiple times we heard pitter, patter of her feet coming back down the hall.

Tonight I'm thinking I'll be asleep well before her, perhaps.

Happy New Year, no to diapers & yes to.....

So we've been talking about potty training here & there. We've had a mini potty for Lil before she turned two, last spring just to spark any interest she may have. Not too much interest at first. Then it was here & there. Every month when we would buy diapers I would say to Eli, "this will be the last ones we buy." Well in December we did, we started the 31st w/some interest on Lil's part & NO diapers. So we ran with it. I worked four nights straight so Eli did a great job with her the first few days. Nine days in & for what I thought would be messy, poopy underwear messes has been one poopy miss. We've had some pee misses but overall she's done really well. She turned 2 1/2 Friday & so cool to think of all that she's learned in such a short time.
This journey has been pretty cool thus far......I can only imagine what's ahead. I am so blessed.
